Structurally, NTC thermistor matrix is a high-performance Electroceramics made from the oxides of nickel (Ni), manganese (Mn), cobalt (Co) and other metal materials in a high-temperature environment, and then coated with conductive paste at both ends to form electrodes.
In terms of appearance, NTC thermistors generally have lead type (THT), sheet type (SMD), etc.
 

Temperature characteristics of NTC thermistors

The resistance value of NTC thermistors varies exponentially with temperature and decreases with increasing temperature. The specific formula is:

 The Application of NTC Thermistors

As a conventional temperature sensor, NTC thermistors are commonly used in electronic devices such as smartphones to prevent excessive heating of the phone, as overheating may damage some precision components and cause premature failure of key components of the phone.
